Visiting Aquaventure Water Park, Atlantis Dubai: Tickets, Transport, and Practical Tips

Let’s start with the fact that we bought separate tickets through an agency in Dubai for $75 per person, which included tickets to the water park. We sent scans to WhatsApp and used them to easily get through the ticket office. We took a taxi to the water park. From JBR, it cost us 40 dirhams one way. To be honest, we wanted to take the monorail, but during our stay, the heat in Dubai was incredible, so we decided not to torture ourselves!

The water park itself is located on the grounds of the Atlantis hotel. Since the hotel is quite isolated and far from the centre, there are various shops at the entrance in the lobby. But we only went to the shop at the water park, where we bought two long-sleeved lycra tops, a couple of T-shirts and shorts. The total purchase came to 620 dirhams. We also bought two pairs of coral slippers at the water park, which can be worn on the attractions without taking them off. They cost us 270 dirhams. At the ticket office, we rented a small locker in the changing room to store our dry clothes. It cost us 55 dirhams.

But in fact, I wouldn’t have rented it, as you can leave your things on a sun lounger in the water park and go on the slides without worrying. No one will take your things. We brought towels with us from the hotel. You won’t leave your phones, cameras and money in the locker anyway, as these lockers are at the entrance to the water park, and you won’t want to run back and forth every time you want to take a photo or video or have lunch.

It’s a shame, of course, that they don’t have a bracelet system where you can put your money and pay with it in cafes or shops… If you’re still worried about your belongings, you can put your essentials on a sun lounger and put your phone with your card and money in a special waterproof case and wear it around your neck. The slides themselves are great! They’re all fun and not scary! The children were delighted, as were the adults. It’s strange that they don’t give you maps at the entrance. We stayed at the water park from opening to closing. The slides are open until 6:30 p.m. We rode all the attractions, some twice.

By the way, there are two children’s areas in the park. And both are great! You can only bring 0.5 litres of water per person from home, the rest has to be bought at the water park. Even if they allowed you to bring more water, there would be no point. The water heats up so quickly in the heat that it is impossible to drink. The prices here are astronomical. A 0.33 litre Coke costs 20 dirhams, and a 0.5 litre bottle of water costs 16 dirhams. A small plate of rice and raw fish costs 65 dirhams, and a large plate costs 95 dirhams. The conclusion is: the water park is awesome! Definitely worth a visit! You get enjoyment and adrenaline! I recommend it to everyone!
