I visited the water park last September. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time, only about four hours. But that was enough. We were given wristbands and towels. Then we went with the girls to explore the water park. It’s quite a long walk from the changing rooms to the water slides.
At first, we didn’t know where to leave our shoes and the towel vouchers. It took us a while to find some floats (and practically all the slides only allow ‘passengers’ with floats, and in some cases only double floats for two people, as we understood).
I can mention one very cool slide, maybe twenty metres high, no more, the kind they always show in videos. The slide is so cool that it seemed like you couldn’t slide down it, but fall out. Very cool! Another slide is called ‘Shark Slide’ (something like that in translation). It’s not extreme, of course, but the most interesting part is when you stop in a transparent tunnel and sharks and other fish swim around you.
It’s a spectacular sight! Everything else didn’t impress me: various slides where you are spun and twisted from side to side, lots of channels with artificial waves. In the end, the waves carried you to a similar artificial beach with lots of sun loungers. It was quite enjoyable! We had a wonderful and fun four hours. Unfortunately, I did not visit Wild Wadi, so I cannot compare the two water parks, but I would like to.
On the downside, it took us a while to find where to get towels; some of the floats were worn out with broken handles; and it was difficult to find a place to leave our belongings where they would be visible.
I don’t know how much it costs to visit the water park, but I know that it’s free for Atlantis guests. If you decide to take a trip to this hotel in Palma, you won’t regret it!
