Aquadventure – One of the two best water parks in Dubai (the other is Wild Wadi). Be sure to plan a visit to the water park when travelling to Dubai. It offers a combination of vivid impressions:
Firstly, the road to the water park itself is very impressive – I recommend taking the metro and making sure you get a seat in the first carriage (pay for a Gold Class ticket in advance). The metro in Dubai is very independent and does not need drivers, so you can take it for a ride 🙂
Then take the high-speed electric train that runs through the trunk of the Jumeirah palm tree, from which you can see all the ‘leaves’ of the palm tree
Secondly, the Atlantis hotel itself is an interesting structure:
Thirdly, the Atlantis Aquarium is also a must-see!
And finally, the water park itself! There aren’t that many slides, about 7, but what slides!
I liked the transparent slide running through the centre of the huge aquarium with fish the most. You float along, and above you, within arm’s reach, stingrays, jellyfish and fish of all kinds and species swim by! An unforgettable experience.
The other slides are less exciting but more adrenaline-fuelled! The alternation between open space and the pitch darkness of the enclosed tube and sharp turns is guaranteed to give you goosebumps and an adrenaline rush!
