Dubai’s water parks have long been true symbols of the UAE. They combine dizzying attractions, themed areas, thoughtful design and even elements of cultural immersion to create unique worlds for guests of all ages.
All of Dubai’s water parks share a focus on detail, from the infrastructure (there are free towels and shower cubicles) to unusual services. For example, in one park, you can book a VIP cabin with service, and in another, you can combine your visit with a tour of the Burj Al Arab.
The best time to visit a water park in Dubai is from October to April, but in summer it is better to choose evening sessions.
Interestingly, water parks in the UAE are also art spaces. There are LEGO sculptures, graffiti, and at Atlantis, even the slides are integrated into the architecture of Poseidon’s palace. Wild Wadi Waterpark
The water park is located at the foot of the famous Burj Al Arab sail hotel, not far from the centre of Dubai.
Opened in 1999, it has remained one of the most popular destinations for family holidays and extreme entertainment ever since. Wild Wadi is built around the story of Juha, a character from Arab folklore, whose statue greets visitors at the entrance.
The architecture of the water park resembles a traditional Arab village: domed towers, stone arches, camel-shaped fountains, artificial waterfalls and caves. The water in the water park circulates through a closed system, and the temperature is regulated according to the season: heated in winter and cooled in summer.
Attractions
This Dubai water park offers more than 30 attractions, divided into three zones according to their level of extremity.
Among the extreme attractions is Jumeirah Sceirah, the water park’s signature attraction. It is one of the tallest and fastest slides.
Guests climb onto a 33-metre-high platform and free-fall at speeds of up to 80 km/h. There are two funnel-shaped slides with inflatable rafts that spin in giant bowls, imitating the whirlpools of a desert storm.
Family attractions at this water park include Dubai’s largest wave pool with waves up to 1.5 metres high; a 360-metre-long lazy river that winds through the entire park; and a fast-flowing river that you can float down on inflatable rings through artificial rapids and tunnels.
Features
The water park is open from 10:00 to 18:00, but times may vary depending on the season.
Tickets: from 310 dirhams for adults, 260 dirhams for children taller than 1.1 metres. How to get there: there is a free shuttle bus from Jumeirah hotels, a 15-minute taxi ride from the centre of Dubai, or take the metro to Mall of the Emirates station, then a taxi.
Aquaventure Waterpark
Located on the legendary Palm Jumeirah, this water entertainment universe in Dubai is one of the largest water parks in the world. Since opening in 2008, Aquaventure has attracted millions of visitors to its adrenaline-fuelled slides, as well as offering the chance to swim with dolphins or sea lions and relax on a private beach.
Attractions
This water park has extreme and family slides.
Leap of Faith is a 27.5-metre-high iconic slide.
In 2 seconds of free fall, you fly through a transparent tunnel surrounded by sharks and stingrays in an aquarium. There is the only slide in the region with hydromagnetic technology: guests are locked in a capsule, after which the floor opens and they fall at a speed of 60 km/h.
Among the family attractions at the water park is a children’s area with 14 slides, water cannons, bungee jumps and a giant tower from which 750 litres of water pour out every 5 minutes. There is also a two-kilometre-long river with a current where you can relax on an inflatable ring, floating through tunnels, grottos and past waterfalls.
Features
The water park is open from 10:00 to 18:00. A standard ticket costs 349 dirhams for adults and 279 dirhams for children between 1.2 and 1.4 metres tall. Children under 1.2 metres tall can enter for free.
There is a free shuttle bus to the water park from the Atlantis hotel and some points in Dubai. You can also get to the Dubai Internet City metro station and then take a 10-minute taxi ride.
Laguna Waterpark
The water park occupies part of the La Mer beach area, a district with graffiti walls, hipster cafes, boutiques and views of the Persian Gulf. It is not an isolated park, but a space where water attractions are harmoniously integrated into the beach infrastructure.
Visitors to the water park can switch between riding the slides and relaxing on sun loungers by the sea.
Attractions
This Dubai water park is aimed at guests aged 5 and above, but most of the slides are also suitable for adults. It is divided into several zones. WaveOz 180 is the first artificial surf park in the Middle East with technology that creates waves up to 1.8 m high. Freej Falls is a complex of four slides with an unusual design: the descent begins inside a tower, and then the rafts rotate in open tubes, creating a whirlpool effect. It has the water park’s highest slide, at 25 metres: groups of four people descend in a raft through a closed tube that leads them into a giant bowl with a whirlpool.
Features
From October to April, the water park is open from 10:00 to 19:00. From May to September, it is open from 10:00 to 22:00. The cost of a standard ticket in 2025 is 250 dirhams for adults and 175 dirhams for children aged 3-12. In the evening, from 16:00, there are discounts, and tickets cost 175 dirhams for everyone. How to get there? Take the metro to Sharaf DG station, then a taxi to the water park. You can also take bus route 8 to the La Mer stop.
Legoland Water Park
This water park is part of the Legoland Dubai complex, which also includes an amusement park. It is designed to make children feel like heroes of their own story: giant LEGO figures, bright colours and themed areas. The water in the water park is not just an element of entertainment, but part of the game – children build dams, steer ships and bring their creations to life.
Attractions
The water park is divided into zones, each offering activities for a specific age group. There is an area for the youngest visitors aged 2-5, with shallow pools, mini slides and water play stations.
On an interactive attraction, children build their own rafts from giant cubes and then float down a lazy river. This water park even has an artificial wave pool with a gentle entrance and small waves.
Features
From November to March, the water park is open from 10:00 to 18:00. From April to October, it is open until 19:00. Tickets for children aged 3-12 cost 275 dirhams, and tickets for adults cost from 295 dirhams.
There is a free shuttle bus to Dubai Parks and Resorts from Ibn Battuta metro station. You can also get there from the centre of Dubai in 30 minutes by taxi.
Splash ‘n’ Party
Splash ‘n’ Party in Dubai is a cosy and safe water park designed especially for children under 12 years old. The water park opened in 2013 and quickly became a popular destination for family holidays and relaxing breaks with little ones. There are no extreme slides or noisy crowds, but there is everything you need to make children feel like heroes of their own water adventure.
Attractions
The water park has low slides for toddlers from 1 year old with a gentle descent into a shallow pool. For older children, there are winding slides. Among the play areas are a zone with water cannons, fountains and tunnels, an inflatable castle with slides and trampolines without water.
Splash “n” Party has even thought of creative areas for children: a playground for drawing and crafts and a sandpit with toys for dry games.

Unlike other water parks in Dubai, one session lasts 3 hours.
It is best to come in the morning or evening when the sun is not so strong. The water park is open from 9:00 to 20:00. Tickets for children aged 1 to 12 cost 110 dirhams per session. Adults pay 35 dirhams. An all-inclusive package with a towel, food and drinks costs 200 dirhams per child. How to get there? It is a 15-minute taxi ride from the centre of Dubai – Dubai Mall and 10 minutes from Burj Al Arab. The nearest metro station is Mall of the Emirates, then another 7 minutes by taxi to the water park.
Water parks in Dubai are an explosion of emotions and a wealth of impressions, but to ensure that your day does not turn into a battle with the heat and queues, it is worth thinking through the details in advance. In summer, it is better to arrive at opening time or closer to sunset. Do not forget sunscreen with a high SPF — even on a cloudy day, the sun in Dubai is treacherous.
Buy tickets online – it’s cheaper and saves time at the entrance. Food prices at water parks are touristy, but at Splash “n” Party or Legoland, you can bring your own fruit and sandwiches. At other water parks, try the local fast food and be sure to bring water.
And most importantly, don’t try to do too much. The water parks in Dubai are huge, and it’s impossible to try everything in one day. After all your adventures, when the sun starts to set, find a moment to just float in the lazy river – the view of the palm trees and skyscrapers of Dubai from the water will be just as memorable as the most extreme attractions.
