Although we are not children, we have a tradition of visiting water parks (Finland, Cyprus, Egypt, etc.) in every country we visit with my husband. Overall, Dubai is great and there is a lot to see, but this water park is not worth your time.
First, the pros. The water park is large, planted with flowers and palm trees, with wonderful paths leading from one slide to another. There are super-extreme slides that take your breath away. Well, that’s about it, now let’s move on to the cons.
The cons are that there is too little entertainment for such a large area. You’ll get tired of walking from one slide to another, and they quickly become boring because there isn’t much choice. The food is expensive. The entrance ticket is also expensive for such a small selection of attractions.
For comparison with other water parks, I will say that there is a very cool water park in Anapa (small area and lots of slides), an unusual one in Finland (Siren) with a variety of slides, and in Cyprus there are very scary slides!!!
As for other water parks in Dubai, I recommend Wild Wadi, which has the same slides as Aquaventure, but the area is smaller and the price is lower. There is also a water park in Abu Dhabi on Yas Island, which is accessible by tours from Dubai.
